Charlene is an adult intact female guinea pig with special needs. She is a white, cream, and brown short haired piggy. Charlene came from local animal shelter with no information supplied so we arent sure of her age. She is very personable, happy and cuddly little lady who likes people, but is very dominant when it comes to other guinea pigs. Charlene may be interested in meeting a neutered male or single female guinea pig or due to her dominant nature, can be adopted to live as a single although preferably with other guinea pigs to talk to (rather than share a cage with them). Charlene is a special needs guinea pig due to chronic bladder problems. She needs a loving home that will give attention to these needs. She is currently symptom free and on oral medications for life; she will need to have her health monitored for recurrence of symptoms and regular annual physical examinations by a competent guinea pig vet. Charlene loves her meds and takes them willingly! If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Charlene, please send an e-mail to guineapigs@smallangelsrescue.org. The adoption fee for Charlene will be $30. Small Angels Rescue requires piggies to live in a Cubes and Coroplast cage of at least 2 cubes by 4 cubes, with a lid if you have other pets. This will give them plenty of space to run around and play. If you would like to find out more about these cages please visit the website www.cavycages.com .You can either build one for yourself or buy one at the time of adoption. Please note that you must live within approximately an hour's drive to Mt. Airy, MD to adopt our guinea pigs. Thank you for your interest in adopting from Small Angels Rescue. Clyde is a white & brown, short haired, male guinea pig who has been neutered. We don't know Clyde's age, but he is thought to be around 2 years old. He came to us as part of a large group of guinea pigs that were surrendered to a local animal shelter when their owner left them with a friend who didnt want to take care of them in March of 2011. Clyde is a big, handsome, cuddly chap! Harriet is a short haired, tri-colored, petite female piggie. She is around 2 years of age. She came from a local animal shelter where she had been surrendered as her family was moving abroad in May 2011. She is very friendly and outgoing and will happily come to the side of her cage to see if you have any treats for her! Clyde and Harriet are a bonded pair of guinea pigs looking for a loving forever home together. They are very nice natured adult piggies of gentle disposition who like attention and lap time. These two lonely piggies met in foster care a couple of months ago and immediately became best friends; neither had been seen popcorning before they were introduced! They love to be together and have each other for company. They enjoy eating their veggies and playing in lots of fresh Timothy hay and having their Oxbow Cavy Cuisine pellets daily. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Clyde and Harriet, please send an e-mail to guineapigs@smallangelsrescue.org. The adoption fee for will be $70 as Clyde is neutered. Small Angels Rescue will require this pair of piggies to live in a Cubes and Coroplast cage of at least 2 cubes by 4 cubes, with a lid if you have other pets. Denver and Jackson are a pair of young, bonded neutered male guinea pigs. They were born in foster care on 11/4/11 and 11/5/11 and are approximately three months old. Denver is a chocolate brown, ginger and white short-haired boy, and Jackson is a striking black, white and tan short-haired piggy. Their mothers were turned into a local shelter when they were hugely pregnant and very scared. They each gave birth within two days of taking them into the rescue. Denver and Jackson were paired up at 4 weeks old and have been best friends ever since. They get along well and love to chase each other in circles around the cage and popcorn (jump for joy). Denver and Jackson are still very young, and so they are still a bit "on the wild side." They can be tricky to pick up and prefer to be on the move, as most guinea pigs do at this age. They will gradually settle down with age and will do best with a family that is willing to give them consistent, patient, and gentle handling for short periods of time each day as they mature. They enjoy their veggies along with fresh Timothy hay and Oxbow Cavy Performance pellets. If you are interested in adopting Denver and Jackson, please send an e-mail to guineapigs@smallangelsrescue.org. The adoption fee for Denver and Jackson will be $80, as they are both neutered. Small Angels Rescue will require this pair of piggies to live in a Cubes and Coroplast cage of at least 2 cubes by 4 cubes, with a lid if you have other pets. This will give them plenty of space to run around and play. Boston and Orlando are a pair of young neutered male guinea pig brothers. They were born in foster care on 11/5/11 and are approximately three months old. Orlando is a chocolate brown, tan and white boy with a beautiful, silky medium-length coat with little tufts below his ears and on his toes. Boston is a handsome black, ginger, and white short-haired piggy. Their mother was turned into a local shelter when she was hugely pregnant and very scared. She gave birth within two days of arriving into the rescue. They get along well and love to chase each other and popcorn around their cage.
